Icosahedrophilia podcast publication prospectus

The Icosahedrophilia podcast logo, featuring a big blue d20Adventure fans, in case you’re wondering why the publication of Icosahedrophilia 185 has been delayed, here’s the deal. In the brief time I could devote to podcast editing during recent weeks, I’ve been struggling with the audio for the next adventure. It’s got a nasty hum/whine in it that I can’t seem to eliminate. I normally use SoundSoap to fix things like that, but I don’t seem to have the settings quite right for this particular noise. I can’t eliminate it from the gaps without silencing the background music, and I can’t seem to get it out of the times where people are speaking (which is obviously the heart of the show). I’m sure it’s just a matter of tuning the settings properly, but I’m also having issues that I think might be related to partial incompatibility between some of my audio apps and OS X Mavericks. At any rate, I’m working on it as fast as I can with all the other commitments I have going. (November is crazy busy for me professionally.) Don’t despair! The crew of the Broken Promise will return!

  1. I still can’t get rid of the whine in parts 1–2 of the next adventure. I am just going to stop fiddling with it and release it as it is. Parts 3–5 sound better. Don’t know why. Plan to record wrappers this weekend, and I hope to release episode 185 by Monday!
